Lord, when You walked upon this earth,
You weren’t affected
By the pace of life around You
Or by the time which seemingly passed You by.
You had time to speak with children
And eat with sinners -
Even though these might seem a waste of time
To One with a mission as great as Yours.
Lord, when my soul begins to join
The frenzied pace of life around me;
And when I add the word “Now!”
To the mission You have called me to,
May my heart be quiet,
Though circumstances cry, “Hurry! Hurry!”
May my soul find it’s rest in You,
The Unhurried One.
