In the fall of 2009, I was tasked with creating a Request for Proposal to send to various web development firms for the replatforming of the telescope.com website for Orion Telescopes & Binoculars. The result was a 48-page document which was used heavily in the process of evaluating potential platform vendors.

This project reflects my ability to:
articulate complex project requirements in a way that vendors and internal teams can both understand
translate strategic business needs into a structured request that supports vendor evaluation and selection
break down a replatforming initiative into clear, necessary components without losing sight of business priorities
anticipate risk areas and include them in scope documentation rather than leaving them implicit
balance technical considerations with business outcomes in formal documentation
create artifacts that support planning, budgeting, and negotiation rather than just descriptive reports
help teams get aligned on what needs to be done before they figure out how to do it
