In the spring of 2011, Orion Telescopes & Binoculars launched the the most recent iteration of its primary website at telescope.com. In connection with that launch, I prepared a 174-page document to provide instructions to Orion's internet marketing team for entering content into managed and targeted content areas of the website. The document covers content to be entered into the header and footer of the website, various areas of the home page, site sections, categories, sub-categories, customer service pages, user account pages, the shopping cart, checkout pages, several general content pages, and several overlays.
Capabilities Demonstrated
This project reflects my ability to:
translate strategic goals into a structured, phased content plan
organize content work so that stakeholders can see what’s coming and why
prioritize activities in a way that supports both short-term execution and long-term growth
align content tasks with business objectives and operational realities
create documentation that serves as both plan and reference — usable in daily work
break down large, ambiguous strategic efforts into manageable pieces
communicate intent and process in a way that helps teams act without confusion
You can download a .pdf version of the content plan below.
