After telescope.com was first launched on its final ecommercee platform, Orion Telescopes & Binoculars launched its first foray into international online business through a new European website at OrionTelescopes.eu in the fall of 2013. In connection with that launch, I prepared a 202-page document to help Orion’s internet marketing staff enter content into the managed and targeted content areas of this new website. The document covers content to be entered into the header and footer of the website, various areas of the home page, site sections, categories, sub-categories, customer service pages, user account pages, the shopping cart, checkout pages, several general content pages, and several overlays.
Capabilities Demonstrated
This project reflects my ability to:
convert high-level content goals into a structured, actionable plan
assess content needs across multiple product categories and user intents
organize complex information in a way that supports both internal teams and external readers
balance business priorities with audience experience in content sequencing and formatting
create deliverables that teams can use in day-to-day execution rather than simply review
communicate insights and next steps so non-technical stakeholders understand the logic behind decisions
design content work that aligns with ecommerce performance drivers and user pathways
